[25/11/24] The Heidelberg Laureate Forum, which has been held since 2013, is a forum where the winners of top international awards (Turing, Abel, Linnean, Fields Medal) meet with young scholars. Each forum selects 100 young scholars from the world of computer science and mathematics to participate in the forum, and has in-depth exchanges with the world's top scientists in the field of computer science and mathematics. Professor John Hopcroft, Principal Professor of Computer Science in our school and Turing Award winner, co-founded the forum and served as a member of the scientific Committee of the forum. Wang Ruocheng, a graduate of the Physics direction of Zhiyuan University 2025 (now a doctoral candidate of the School of Artificial Intelligence of our university), was invited to attend the forum in Heidelberg from September 14 to September 19. After returning home, he will share his experience as follows, encouraging more Zhiyuan students to actively participate in such exchange activities with top scientists.
